Adult Activities:

In addition to our regular meetings, the Greater Bangor Chapter of Mothers & More has many fun activities for both the mothers in our organization and for couples. We have a regularly scheduled Mom's Night Out, where members have an opportunity to meet outside of regularly scheduled meeting nights to enjoy an unstructured night out. Our recent Mom's Nights Out have included rock climbing lessons, a game night, and a bread-making class. Special interest groups such as a book club and a hiking club are also available to members.

Children's Activities:

Many of our members find our scheduled playgroups and park days to be very rewarding. The opportunity to share with other mothers is as valuable as the development of the children's social skills! Many children's activities take advantage of the wide array of resources available in the Greater Bangor Area. These include trips to the Maine Discovery Museum and pool dates at the Beth Pancoe Municipal Aquatic Center in the summertime. Members work hard to plan a variety of activities both for members and their children. We also regularly schedule family events such as family hikes, picnics or holiday parties.

Care Committee:

This committee addresses the needs of mothers who have recently given birth or are in need of assistance due to a special circumstance. We help with preparing and delivering meals and offering moral support.

Meetings:

The Greater Bangor Chapter of Mothers & More meets twice a month, unless a major holiday occurs on the same date as one of our regularly scheduled meetings. Meeting topics are chosen by members and can cover the areas of personal growth, mothers as mothers, professional growth, or consciousness raising and take the form of open discussions, speakers facilitating a discussion, or a forum. There are also opportunities within each meeting to discuss current events or to just chat with other members. Recent meeting topics have included:
